The Chicago City Health Department closed our Mission kitchen in February 2009. There was a lot of pressure from the neighborhood for the Alderman to close down the Rescue Mission. They didn't care about the homeless; they wanted to build condos, and raise the property value in the area. The day the kitchen was closed, I was led to go on a 40 day fast. This was a bread and juice fast. We had the fire department, Health department, and the Mayor's office harassing us on a regular basis. The kitchen was opened in 2 months.

Thank YOU JESUS!!

On the last day of the fast; the Lord gave me direction for my next assignment. I was coming to the end of the one year mission to Chicago; and was seeking direction from the Lord. The Lord showed me a map in the spirit, and I saw a line drawn from Chicago to Missouri, and then to LA. The Lord also showed me a long fence in the country running in a straight line. I could barely see the end of the fence; and the next scene I was walking along the fence and came to the end of it. I saw a main highway and a dirt road that went off to the left, and turned back to the main road forming a half circle. The dirt road was Missouri. I asked the Lord if I could go to the Bay Area and see Ray Aguilera before I went to LA; and the Lord showed me the rocky mountains. I would have to cross the rockies to get to the Bay Area by bus. I spoke to Ray, and he confirmed the trip. I asked the Lord for 2 things: I wanted to return to California; and go home to see my family in Missouri; and rest. The Lord gave me both.
