Bob

Bob had a foundation of faith in the Catholic church, and became homeless through the treachery of his brother. His mother was placed in a nursing home; and Bob was kicked out of her house. We spent a lot of time together, and became friends. He had mental issues, and some of the guys at the Mission incessantly picked on, and terrorized him. I prayed for and counseled Bob, and told him to keep quiet, and let the Lord fight his battles. He was hungry for the Word of God, and a relationship with Jesus; and had several years of clean time. Bob was fighting Social Security over a case that had drawn out for 2 years, and won an unlikely victory; and received 2 years back pay in thousands of dollars. His mother returned to her home, and wanted Bob to move back with her. They lived 20 miles out in the suburbs.

Bob's brother's daughter was facing murder charges, and had his hands full; and didn't have time to harass his mother and brother. The bible says; Gal 6: 7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. I drove Bob home to his mother's house; and she was very happy to have him back; and called me an angel. All three of us stood in her living room and cried. Bob came back to the mission and made a donation to help keep the Mission running. He said he was going to come back with a check, and kept his word. Bob kept his focus on the Lord, and lived a clean life; and JESUS fought his battles!!

Proverbs 3: 5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil”.
