WORK FOR FOOD-JESUS SAVES

The Lord led me to share this testimony with the group. On Thursday the Lord directed me to start fasting for an asignment on Friday. I was led to make a sign; about 2`X2`, and write in large letters {Work for Food-- and below that in large blue letters; JESUS SAVES}. I was told to take this sign, and stand on a busy corner for one hour. This was completed on Friday, during the morning rush hour.

This went against my grain in a major way, and held a personal message and lesson.  The Lord also seems to be saying; (this is a living end-time parable for the group to discern).

This asignment was preparation and testing for the work the Lord had me to do in the streets. If I couldn't go for one hour; how could I go for 24?


Scripture:

John 24  Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.
25  When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you get here?"
26  Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
27  Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."
28  Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
29  Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
