"Do Not Muzzle the Ox" Living Parable

Living Parable/Grader-Testimony

While doing some landscaping work in Ray Aguilera’s back yard, the Lord gave me an idea for a grader/plow to knock down the high ground, and smooth out the surface. This grader is similar to an old time plow that had oxen attached to it with the ropes fashioned into a type of harness. I couldn’t pull the grader because I kept slipping with my tennis shoes; and the Lord told me about the softball cleats in the bottom of my closet that haven’t been used in years.

While pulling the grader, the Lord gave me a living parable, and directed me to act this out for Ray when he returned from Alaska. I was to pull the grader and then tell Ray the scripture from the bible- (Do not muzzle the ox).

Ray returned from Alaska, and I acted this parable out and gave him the word. I previously had the impression that Ray would take me to a restaurant for doing this job; and I would ask to go to Red Lobster. But when we returned from the airport, Ray opened his suitcase and gave me three large packs of fresh smoked salmon from Alaska. A gift from our Christian brother Mark.

note: The Lord had the answer before the parable/word was acted out; and we had a good laugh over this.

May the Glory be unto the Lord and not man!

Scriptures: Deu 25: 4  Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.

1 Cor. 9: 9  For it is written in the Law of Moses: "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain." Is it about oxen that God is concerned?
10  Surely he says this for us, doesn't he? Yes, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they ought to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest.
11  If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?
12  If others have this right of support from you, shouldn't we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.
