A Christian buys my coffee

March-98:     On a 24 hour trip, the Lord instructed me to panhandle for my coffee the next morning after sleeping in the streets. It was about 6am and I was set up outside a coffee place that the commuters use when taking the train. I set up my stand, signs, bible and bowl.

I would ask people for help so I could get a cup of coffee. The responses were varied but mostly just ignoring me. I prayed for the Lord to send a Christian to buy my coffee. Within ten minutes, a man came up and said he would buy me a cup of coffee. This man was a Christian, and we shared briefly about ministry and he headed to work.

This assignment was over in a short amount of time, and the Lord answered my prayer. This was the most difficult assignment in the streets/panhandling.
