I had to continue on to Berkeley and finish the 24 hour trip. I've never felt more like a street person than that night. It was cold, and I experienced what street people experience when they are ripped off. I've talked to street people about this; and all of them have had their stuff stolen or taken by the authorities.
On the way back the next day, I checked a dumpster in the area my stuff was stolen; and my bible, tracts, shield and a gear bag was in the dumpster. I was happy to get these items back. My camera, cart, backpack, blanket, mat and jacket was taken.
The bible was given to me by the christian brother that led me to the Lord; and I've been carrying it in the streets.
note: the shield had an
acrylic coating on it; and it's a good thing I followed the leading, because
it would have been destroyed with out it.
