Financial Testimony
March-98:
Ray had about 3 months of my bank statements and I didn't have a real good
idea how much I had in my checking account. I was also using atm, and forgetting
to deduct it from my checkbook. I wrote my last check that month-to cover
a bill for $27.63. (I receive my retirement direct deposit in the
beginning of the month). When I read my statement weeks later, I had exactly
to the penny--$27.63 left in my account, at the end of the month.
That check was one penny away from bouncing.
Note: Around August/September: A christian brother that
I had never communicated with in any form sent me a check for one thousand
dollars. I was trying to save for a new computer and needed the money to
replace my blown monitor. He didn't know this.
