"Gangland/Mission
field"
Many
would not label America a mission field. Mission Fields are far-far away
and we send missionaries to foreign countries; and their pictures are on
the missionaries board in the church lobby.
I went to Mexico with a church for about 10 days and we conducted a vacation
bible school and built a foundation for a sunday school building. We were
called missionaries when we returned to our church. I look back on it and
think maybe the church we went too should send missionaries to us.
The early church motto was: "Go and Tell".
The modern day American church motto is: "Come
and hear".

5: 14 "You are the light of the world.
A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put
it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your
good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
Where would Jesus
go if he came to America to die on the cross?
A list of a few observations from the streets and why we are a mission
field:
a. Extremely high crime.
Gangs run the streets. "Six shootings in my area in the year". Those
are the ones I know about.
b. Drug dealers
c. Rampid drug addiction/alcoholism
d. Prostitution/homosexuality
e. Street people everywhere
f. People living
in fear, and bars on doors and windows--including the churches.
g. Materialism/status
worship
h. An indifference
to the Gospel/anti God
i. Intellectualism
worship
j. Abortion
You could add to
the list without much thought.
A portion
of prophecy #398 from Aguilera's book:
Prophecy: To my surprise the
Lord revealed another reason for this trip, the Lord said, “The reason
you are here is because you are on a mission. You two are going to
be my missionaries. I want you to pray on the road in the areas I
tell you.”
I said to the Lord, “But we are in
the United States of America, missionaries are outside the U.S.”
The Lord said, “That’s where you are
wrong. The United States is in trouble like the other parts of the
world.
